After 23 years of operating The Grey Lodge Pub, one of Philadelphia's original beer bars, Scoats was ready to add a brewery to the mix. When a weirdly shaped triangluar space opened up 5 doors north of the Grey Lodge, he knew it was time. It's a small space so Lucky Cat Brewering will be all the brewery that fits. We will have room for a small service area that will operate 4 days a week.
Lucky Cat Brewing will be a nano brewery, only making 2 or 3 barrels of beer at a time. We will specialize in a few old school styles (West Coast IPA and Hefeweizen), constantly refining the recipes and procedures until they are perfect. And we'll have batches of special stuff too to keep things interesting.
We hope to be open early fall 2019.
Scoats has open office hours at the Grey Lodge Pub almost every Tuesday from 3pm to 7pm. No appointment needed. First come, first seen. Please click here to check if he will be on a specific Tuesday.
